The history of EVYK “Georgios Pevtitselis”

Georgios Pevtitselis founded the company, primarily engaged in the production of stoves and wood-burning machines. This marked the beginning of a journey that would lead EVYK to the top of the heating industry in Greece.

1950

Innovation in Heating

EBYK innovated by introducing heating devices that used dirty oil (a type of low-cost fuel), revolutionizing the heating market. With the inclusion of the founder’s three sons in the business, the company significantly expanded its sales throughout the Greek market.

1960

Manufacture of advanced heating devices

The company established itself in the field of manufacturing heating devices that use dirty oil, producing air heaters, stoves, and cooking ranges. With its reputation as a reliable and high-quality company, it gained the trust of its customers.

1970

Expansion and provision of new services

A period of rapid growth followed, marked by the expansion of facilities and the addition of new equipment from Germany. The company broadened its scope of operations by offering enameling services, with the third son of the founder, Mr. Lefteris Pevtitselis, taking the lead in the enameling division after four years of training in Germany. Under his leadership, the company provided innovative solutions to its customers, further strengthening its position in the market.

1972

Patent Certificate

EBYK achieved a significant technological milestone by obtaining a patent for the “Method of manufacturing a steel radiator heating body – Radiator.”

1975

Expansion into enameling of objects

With rapid growth, EVYK entered the market for enameling hot water tanks, also functioning as a subcontractor for other companies. This expansion further strengthened its presence in the market, allowing the company to diversify its services and reach a broader customer base.

1980

Leader in Enameling

By the 1980s, EVYK had established itself as a leading force in enameling in the Greek market, thanks to its dedication to quality and innovation.

1992

National Recognition

It was chosen to represent Greek businesses at a meeting of the European Economic Community (EEC), highlighting its pivotal role in Greece’s industrial sector.

2009

Addressing the economic crisis

Like many Greek businesses, EVYK was not unaffected by the global financial crisis of 2009. Despite the challenges, the company managed to maintain its operations thanks to the stability of its services and its long-established reputation.

2018

George Gritzalis

In 2018, he became the majority shareholder of the company. Under the new leadership, EΒYK entered a new phase of development, aiming to capture a larger share of the Greek and global markets through subcontracting enameling activities.

Enameling activities

Today, EBYK is ranked as the largest and most innovative enameling company for third parties in Europe, with a strong presence in both the Greek and international markets, remaining true to its principles of quality and innovation.
